Marc D. LeGras, M.D.

Dr. LeGras is a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and has been with the Pediatric Cardiology Center of Oregon since 1996. He attended McGill University in Montreal for his Bachelor of Science and medical school. He did an internship at the University of Manitoba and his pediatrics residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Toronto, Toronto Hospital for Sick Children. Dr. LeGras then completed a fellowship in pediatric electrophysiology and pacing at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital in 1993. He was an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Western Ontario, Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario in London prior to moving to Portland.
Dr. LeGras practices pediatric cardiology, postoperative care in the ICU and specializes in heart rhythm disorders, pacemakers, defibrillators, evaluation of fainting and evaluating families who have experienced a sudden death. He performs arrhythmia procedures such as electrophysiology studies and catheter ablations as well as implantation and follow-up of pacemakers and defibrillators. Dr. LeGras is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology in Canada (FRCPC) and board certified in pediatrics and board eligible in pediatric cardiology in the United States.
Dr. LeGras is fluent in English, French, and Spanish. He has three school age children; Max, Becky and Sophie. Outside of work, Dr. LeGras spends most of his time playing with his children and doing a variety of activities and sports such as working out, cycling, swimming and hiking. In the past, he has ran marathons and completed Cycle Oregon.
James P. Kyser, M.D.

Dr. Kyser joined the Pediatric Cardiology Center of Oregon as an Interventional Cardiologist in July 2005. Dr. Kyser received his medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio, and completed his pediatric residency training at Kaiser Oakland Pediatrics in California. He returned to Ohio for his pediatric cardiology fellowship training at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland.
There he was well-trained in interventional catheterization procedures, including the latest developments in the use of cutting balloons, placement of intravascular stents, device closures of septal defects, and percutaneous pulmonary (Melody valves).
Dr. Kyser grew up in southern California and earned his undergraduate degree at UCLA. He has two boys and they are a very active family that enjoys the outdoors. Their move westward put them closer to family, whose locations range from Washington to southern California. Dr. Kyser likes to spend his free time enjoying many sports. He has a particular passion for basketball and golf and enjoys playing either whenever possible.
Peter H. Chang, D.O.

Dr. Chang joined the Pediatric Cardiology Center of Oregon as a pediatric cardiologist in July 2006. Dr. Chang returns to the Northwest after receiving his medical degree at Nova-Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He completed his pediatric residency training at University of Maryland, Baltimore. He continued his sub-specialty training in pediatric cardiology at the University of Rochester's Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong. His research interests have included the role of dystrophin in Duchenne muscular dystrophy, with publications investigating the accuracy of point of care testing devices.
Dr. Chang has developed expertise in non-interventional imaging, specializing in transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography with a special interest in fetal echocardiography.
Dr. Chang grew up in the Northwest and earned his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Washington. He and his wife, Stephanie, have three boys who enjoy all of the outdoor activities that the Portland area has to offer. He is especially fond of the wide variety of ethnic foods available and the cultural diversity of the city. He is fluent in Korean and enjoys golf, volleyball, soccer, but most of all playing with his kids.
Lindsay Urbinelli, M.D.

Fetal Cardiology & Cardiac MRI
Dr. Urbinelli joined the Pediatric Cardiology Center of Oregon in September 2016. She grew up in upstate New York which is also where she attended college and medical school. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and a medical degree from SUNY Upstate University. She then ventured to New York City where she completed her pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship at Columbia University – New York-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. She then went on to complete an advanced imaging fellowship in fetal cardiology and cardiac MRI at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Urbinelli is interested in all aspects of evaluating and caring for children with heart disease, both outpatient and in the hospital including postoperatively. She has a special interest in cardiac imaging, particularly fetal echocardiography including the diagnosis and prenatal management of congenital heart disease, fetal arrhythmias, and the evaluation of fetal cardiac function and heart failure from non-cardiac causes. She enjoys building nurturing relationships with children and families with congenital heart disease beginning before they are born and as they grow into young adults.
Dr. Urbinelli fell in love with Portland the first time she visited and is excited to now call it home. She came to Portland with her husband who is a pediatric craniofacial surgeon. They enjoy exploring all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Dr. Margie “Niki” Tucker M.D.

General Cardiology
Dr. Margie “Niki” Tucker joined the Pediatric Cardiology Center of Oregon in the spring of 2020. She earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and received her medical degree at the University of Louisville. She completed her pediatrics residency at Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. From there, she traveled to St. Louis where she completed her pediatric cardiology fellowship at Washington University at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Prior to joining Pediatric Cardiology Center of Oregon, she practiced general pediatric cardiology at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital where she was awarded the Outstanding Teacher of the Year and named one of the top pediatric cardiologists in Indianapolis.
As a fellow, she developed an interest in echocardiography including transthoracic, transesophageal and fetal echocardiography. Dr. Tucker enjoys caring for patients and their families in both the hospital and office setting and makes it her goal to help families become experts on their child’s heart condition.
She is excited to explore her new home in the Pacific Northwest and all the opportunities it provides. She loves spending time outside hiking, rock climbing and SCUBA diving.
Alisha Floyd, M.D.

Dr. Floyd joined Pediatric Cardiology Center of Oregon in December 2018. She attended college at Northwestern University where she studied anthropology and Michigan State University where she earned her MD. A southern California native, Dr. Floyd completed her residency training at Children’s Hospital in Orange County California. After practicing general pediatrics for three years, she went on to complete her pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Utah/Primary Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Floyd enjoys providing general cardiology care for children and adolescents in an outpatient setting. She is especially proud to work with the underserved and has a passion for improving access for care for all patients with heart disease. When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Floyd spends her time traveling, dancing in Zumba classes, trying new foods, and learning new languages. She is fluent in Spanish and is currently learning German. Dr. Floyd is excited about living in Portland and all of the adventures to come.
Douglas King, MD (Retired)
Retired Pediatric Cardiologist
We are sad to announce the retirement of Dr. King.
Dr. King attended the University of Washington, obtaining both his B.S. and M.D. degrees. His pediatrics residency was at the University of California, Irvine, and was followed by a three-year pediatric cardiology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas. Dr. King is board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. His special interests are in echocardiography and fetal echocardiography. He and his wife, Carole, have three children.
